Squam Lake, New Hampshire

“On Golden Pond” was filmed here on one of the most beautiful and idyllic settings. 

Fieldstone fireplaces, lots of hand- hewn logs and natural materials were used throughout this project.  Vermont slate was used for one bathroom and flooring for the mudroom to provide  low maintenance for this very active family.

We did this entire project using Skype, as my clients were living in London at the time.

Interiors were inspired from Glacier National Park’s early 20thcentury lodges, even the same dining chairs as I found the original manufacturer was still in production. Outdoor furniture from JANUS et Cie and many of the fabrics used were from Sanderson’s William Morris collection.
